Be Responsible, be Sustainable
Our idea is to create something that will last. Sustainable clothing that doesn't harm the environment or humankind.
Have you ever been passionate about something so much that you could never stop chasing it?
Well, so are we, and we ought to share our story. A story that inspires and influences you to be more mindful and sustainable.
We are Sustainme. Established in 2018, with the vision of being sustainable, we come with an approach that is honest, pure, and conscious. Our idea was simple- to be more than just any clothing brand.
Born out of a concern for Mother Nature, our goals are to save it from perishing any further.
We've been in the fashion industry long enough to understand the toxic consequences it has on nature and humankind. The second most polluting industry in the world, the fashion landscape is known for breeding toxic daily.
Fashion industry and pollution
The production and distribution of crops, fiber, and garments used in the industry contribute to major environmental pollution including water, soil, and air.
We couldn't let that happen to our planet just for the love of fashion, at least not anymore.
Sustainme is a brand that cares. We are on a mission to break the age-old concept that fashion can't co-exist with environmental concerns. We care about fashion, and we care about the environment.
Hence, we sought to change the approach to "being in vogue." We believe that fashion is a cumulative outcome of creative minds; however, when it starts impacting the very air around us, it doesn't remain "in vogue" anymore!
Our idea is to create something that will last. Sustainable clothing that doesn't harm the environment or humankind. We started our journey from there on, trying to find the perfect symmetry between fashion and sustainable living.
And that's why we have come up with our own sustainable clothing lines, made with 100% organic and sustainable material, and manufactured Ethically.
Material and Technology
This is one of the most important parts - we handpick every single fabric based on its environmental footprint and lifetime durability. We only ever use Class A and B fibers and as we go we’ll only ever look for the most responsible fabric material and technology available. That means natural, renewable, recycled, biodegradable and or low-impact textiles only.
"100% cotton" means the fabric is not blended and is made of stronger, softer, and comfortable natural product consisting of fibers picked from the plant.
Sustainme works with a diverse range of stakeholders across the cotton supply chain to promote measurable and continuing improvements for the environment, farming communities and the economies of cotton-producing areas.
Buying this garment supports sustainable cotton farming and livelihood of cotton farmers.
We use GOTS certified organic cotton and those four letters actually mean a lot for you and the planet. This collection is made in hand-picked, chemical free organic cotton that’s grown on the coast of the Aegean Sea. It’s widely regarded as some of the most soft and durable cotton in the world. The GOTS standard also guarantees that the people that made this are paid living wages and treated like humans.
Pima Cotton is a type of cotton considered to be one of the superior blends of cotton, and it is extremely durable and absorbent
Due to It's Long Fibers, Pima Cotton is soft to touch, Resistant to fraying, tearing, pilling, wrinkling and fading.
Pima cotton production is generally less impactful on the environment than other types of cotton production. While the vast majority of cotton production worldwide is done by machines, Pima cotton is usually handpicked, which helps retain the integrity of the cotton fiber. By using this method, less waste is produced, which lessens the environmental impact of producing this type of fabric.
Recycled Cotton Blend
Recycling is processing used materials (waste) into new, useful products. This is done to reduce the use of raw materials that would have been used.
We are Making this Collection by using 100% recycled Cotton / Polyester / Nylon / Viscose Blends.
TENCEL fibers help maintain environmental balance by being integrated into nature´s cycle
TENCEL Lyocell and Modal fibers help to maintain the environmental balance by being integrated into nature´s cycle.
